Ring in the New Year on the Lake

Avoid the big-city crowds downtown, and ring in the New Year on Lake LBJ! There are several events to attend—the hardest part is deciding what you’re in the mood for!

Wild Cave Tour

The perfect way for the whole family to get down and dirty right as the year ends and the New Year begins -- crawling through caves the wild way! Take an hour-and-a-half tour from a specialist spelunker through the Longhorn Caverns and see unique parts of the cave that aren’t typically toured.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Apr. 16)

GOOD. Water stained; 71 degrees; 0.31 feet below pool. Crappie are good 10-15 feet of water with chartreuse jigs or minnows. Catfish are good on punch bait in 20 feet of water. White bass are fair in coves and main lake points in 15-20 feet of water with jigging spoons. Report by Jess Rotherham, Texas Crappie Fishing Service. Target bass in grass patches and work the area over with worms or creature baits. A shallow crankbait or a frog will get some big bites as well around bulkheads and rock piles. Look for deeper ledges and rock piles for some of those special sized bass. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs.
