Lake LBJ

Fishing Report from TPWD (Apr. 9)

GOOD. Water stained; 67 degrees; 0.27 feet below pool. Lake LBJ is fishing good for bass. Work flats and drops out off the bank for some bigger bites throwing creature baits and lizards. Skipping docks with finesse jigs, Texas-rigged plastics like worms and craws and a fluke will catch some good ones. A shallow crank bait around rocks, points and bulkheads will get some bites. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs. Bass are very good around grass with crankbaits and flukes, or on brush piles in 8-12 feet of water with Texas rig and a crankbait. Bass are still spawning in the canals, with many bedding fish for anglers that want to sight fish. White bass are good on main lake points with jigging spoons on the lower end. Report by Charles Whited, Barefoot Fishing Tours.
