Team up with Colorado Bend State Park rangers for a hike to gorgeous Gorman Falls on February 21. Meet at the Gorman Falls Area trailhead at 1:45 p.m. to start your adventure, which will consist of a drive down to Gorman Creek, a 3/4-mile round trip hike, beautiful waterfall viewing, and a drive back to the trailhead. The hike is free, but normal day use fees for the park do apply.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Feb. 5)

GOOD. Water stained; 52 degrees; 0.24 feet below pool. Crappie are good in 25-30 feet on brush and boulders with minnows. Report by Jess Rotherham, Texas Crappie Fishing Service. Bass are good near laydowns and brush piles with jigs and Texas rigged soft plastics, lipless crankbaits and square and some days a spinner baits. Bigger fish are in 14-20 feet and as shallow as 5 feet. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs.
